[Ubuntu 10.04 LTS] How to install IntelliJ Idea 9.0

I would assume that you want to install IntelliJ Idea because you want to program in Java. And because of that, I would also assume that you already have JDK installed as I won't be elaborating on that, sorry. ^^
  1. Please download IntelliJ Idea from here.Link
  2. You will see instructions from the Jetbrains website itself :
Unpack the idea-9.0.4.tar.gz file using the following command:
    tar xfz idea-9.0.4.tar.gz
  3. You should now have the folder containing all the files you extracted. Let's rename the folder to idea9 to make things simple. You can rename it to whatever you want.
  4. Let's copy that directory to /usr/lib by executing the following command :
    sudo cp -R idea9 /usr/lib
  5. Now, you will need to configure JDK_HOME, because idea.sh will be looking for it and won't run unless you have that variable set.
    sudo gedit /etc/environment
  6. Add this line :
    export JDK_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/"
  7. ... and add the following value to your PATH variable.
    /usr/lib/idea9/bin
Make sure all the values in your PATH variable are separated by colon (:).
  8. Logout, then login again.
  9. Now you can run idea.sh from your terminal. ^^
To make things even easier, I added a Custom Application Launcher to my panel.
  1. Right click on your panel, then click Add to Panel...
  2. Select Custom Application Launcher and click the Add button.
  3. Enter the following values :
    Name : IntelliJ Idea 9.0
    Command : idea.sh
  4. You can even put the logo of IntelliJ Idea which can be found in the directory /usr/lib/idea9/bin.
  5. Click OK. Now you'll have a shortcut on your panel. You will just need to click on it to open IntelliJ Idea. ^^

Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown block (0,0)

I've been experiencing a lot of problems with Linux... I've used Fedora Core 13, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS but I always get some applications crashing on me, updates going wrong, ABRT on a roll all the time... Maybe it's just me not understanding everything and messing it up for myself. Yeah, maybe.

The worst thing, I just encountered it a few hours earlier. Update Manager told me there are some updates available so as usual, I clicked the Install Updates button. But later on, it gave me some error and that I have to reboot. So I did. A black screen surprised me with a single line of horror :
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown block (0,0)
Now I can't boot into my OS anymore. Right, just what I needed. So I used another PC, searched Google for answers and found one that worked for me. From what I read, this error can be caused by a lot of things. I have no idea what caused it but I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the Update Manager not being able to finish its installation of the new updates.

Anyway, I thought I won't be able to boot into my OS anymore but that's only because I didn't know about Grub. Now you see how stupid I am. :D If there's anyone else who need to know, here are the steps into loading Grub.
  1. Turn on your PC.
  2. Hold down the SHIFT key while it's booting.
  3. After a while, you should see something like "Grub Loading."
  4. After that screen, you will see another screen which gives you a list of your kernel versions. You can select which one you want to use.
From the error itself, you would know that there is a problem with kernel. It's panicking or something... Yeah I remember the Update Manager is saying that there are some available updates to my kernel. So when I loaded Grub, I chose an earlier version of my kernel. Then voila, I was able to boot into my OS again.

The problem is still there though. I didn't fix it at all. I'm just using an older version of my kernel which previously worked for me without that kind of problem.

What I did afterwards is to install Ubuntu Tweak, and uninstall the latest kernel version that I have -- because that's the one causing the problem. I found the instructions on how to use Ubuntu Tweak from here. It's pretty simple actually.
  1. Select "Package Cleaner" from the menu on the left side of the window.
  2. Click the button "Clean Kernel" on the right side.
  3. Press the "Unlock" button at the lower right part, then enter your password. (This is pretty much like "sudo", I think.)
  4. You should see a list of kernel images and headers installed in your PC. Tick the check boxes of the ones you wish to remove. Thankfully, the kernel that you're currently using is not listed to avoid any accidents.
  5. Press the "Cleanup" button at the lower right to remove the selected kernel images and headers.
After uninstalling the problematic latest version of kernel, I reboot my PC and it automatically boot into the new latest version of kernel that I have. I'm still monitoring if there are any other damages made to my system, but so far, all good. ^__^

Install SQL Developer on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

I have installed SQL Developer multiple times on Ubuntu, Fedora.. etc. and 90% of the time I fail. Maybe it's just because I'm too stupid to use Unix... but anyway, here are the steps that I followed to finally succeed.

1. Install JRE.
2. Go to the SQL Developer downloads page.
3. Download the "Oracle SQL Developer for other platforms (This zip does not include a JDK)".
4. Unpackthe zip file to some directory.
5. Run sqldeveloper.sh

Yeah.. it worked like a charm for me. No errors.

If you encounter some problems... it might be a problem with your JRE installation.

[Ubuntu 10.04 LTS] How to make SSH faster to execute

Maybe you've noticed that doing a SSH seems to be really slow... If you're having this problem, try the following solution.

  1. Execute this command :
    gedit /etc/ssh/ssh_config
  2. Comment out the following lines :
    # GSSAPIAuthentication yes
    # GSSAPIDelegateCredentials no
  3. Save the file
  4. Try it again! :)
Works for me every time!

ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified

Encountered this error?
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified

I do not fully understand the nature of this exception and why am I getting this, but I found a simple and working solution (at least it did work for me and some others).

I encountered this error on two different occasions and below are the solutions.

1. From my unix machine, I connected to a server and executed a script which connects to a database.
SOLUTION:
On your local machine, open /etc/ssh/ssh_config for editing. You might need a sudo for that. Then comment out this line SendEnv LANG LC_*. When you connect again to the server, the script shouldn't throw this exception anymore. If it still occurs, then the problem might be in the server or application itself.

2. I was writing an application in Java which connects to a database directly.
SOLUTION:
Just add this one line before establishing the database connection :
Locale.setDefault(Locale.ENGLISH);
You might need to use another Locale depending on the locale of your database or server.

Hope it works for others too! :D

How to install Virtual Box on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx

This article is for those of you who wants to use Linux (in this case, Ubuntu) but for some reason, still cannot live without Windows. Just follow these simple steps :
  1. If you don't have DKMS installed, run this command on terminal :
    sudo apt-get install dkms
  2. Then you would want to make sure that you have the packages linux-headers and linux-kbuild installed. According to the VirtualBox manual, current Ubuntu releases should have the right packages installed by default.

  3. Open this file for editing : /etc/apt/sources.list

  4. Add this line to your sources.list :
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian lucid non-free

If you're using a different Ubuntu version (aside from Lucid Lynx), you can add any of these lines instead :

    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian karmic non-free
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian jaunty non-free
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian intrepid non-free
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian hardy non-free
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian squeeze non-free
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian lenny non-free
    deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian etch non-free

  5. Then we need to download and register the Oracle public key. You can do that by executing this command on the terminal.
    wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

  6. Then you will need to update your apt-get :
    sudo apt-get update

  7. Finally, you are now ready to install Virtual Box!
    sudo apt-get install virtualbox-3.2

  8. When the installation is done, you should now be able to access VirtualBox from : Applications > System Tools > Oracle VM VirtualBox
Hurray! :D For more info, resources are the following :
Happy virtual-boxing! ^__^

けいおん!!

Included in my watch list is K-On!! -- this is the second season of K-On! which was shown last year with only 13 episodes. Up until now, it's still overwhelming with cuteness and some gags here and there. Yui was my favorite in the first season, but Azu-nyan is also cute with her long hair and pig tails! <3>
If you like overwhelming cuteness, silly childish gags and happy-go-lucky school life, then this is the way to go! Personally, I like this a lot better than Lucky Star. Well, I'm not sure if I should really be comparing them. But there's a lot more going on here than in Lucky Star. Most of the time they were just chatting and talking about anything in Lucky Star. K-on! is also carefree and pretty laid back, but there's always something going on somehow. ^__^

I also like the idea that I'm watching something which looks like shoujo (sorry, I'm not very familiar with the exact description and classification of anime and manga) but there's not a hint of romance anywhere. Too good to be true, but you will be watching 5 joshikousei who are not interested or talking about love at all.

So, how's this for my first anime review? I even included an image (I just noticed there are very few images in my blog)! xD Well, not really a review, but I just want to talk about the anime or manga that I'm watching or reading. Next up might be Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Yumeiro Patissiere or FMA Brotherhood. Otanoshimini~...onegai! xD

So happy and so sad at the same time

Today is Tal's last working day in VC.

T____T
Because once again, one of our beloved colleagues is leaving. It's really really sad... but yeah, I guess I have to get used to it. It's particularly depressing because she was the most cheerful in the team. She was a smiling face since day 1 until the end... I hope we can still keep in touch in some way, especially when I'm not using FB. xD Blog is the only place I'm active on the net and yet, her blog remained untouched for the past year, save for that one BE deploy which she needed to use a real website, lol. Anyway, there's still the company outing which we're hoping that she could attend -- our boss says he'll try to make it happen. :)

^____^
Because we just had dinner for her farewell party. And it was a really happy and cheerful dinner. We had so much fun talking about various things in life, work, love life. It was so much fun, I think this is the best dinner I ever had with my current colleagues. I just hoped it would last longer. :) I think I just realized the feeling when you want to keep all your precious friends close to you... Never thought I'd feel this way, so thanks to Tal and her friendship. :)

I'm in the process of revamping my blog...
For the meantime, I'm still leeching free blog templates from some free sites.
Someday I'll definitely create my own design!!!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama ch.48

It's out!!!
Read it! Read it! xD Of course, let's support the mangaka by buying the original! Aaaa, that reminds me, I have tons of KnT to read. But first, I need to learn how to read Japanese~ xD

I don't know what else to say for today. I have lots to watch as well~
Chuck Season 3
Naruto Shippuuden (everything I've missed since they started running too much fillers)
The Heartbreak Kid (just downloaded it)
Igor (download as well)

I just finished watching Toy Story 2 this morning and it's soooo cuute~ :D

Anyway, it's Saturday and I like to relax and watch~ see yah! :D

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Finally, Mark's project was released to Production!

Yesterday, we went home at around 6PM... took some rest from 7 - 8:30 PM... I wasn't really able to sleep because I had to eat something before going back to the office... and while I was eating, I stumbled upon Star World which is showing American Idol at that time. So yeah, we arrived at the office about a little past 9 PM.

In the office, Mark was watching Chuck S03E01. I didn't watch with him because I haven't even finished watching Season 2. So instead, I started watching Eden of the East. It was really cool~ like I can't even predict what's going to happen next. It seems so impulsive! But sometimes, I'm still in the mood to watch some more shoujo so I can't watch it properly. xD But anyway I got some time last night, and that's the only thing I can watch, because KnT and Yumeiro would make me sleepy otherwise as it is so laid back and peaceful. xD

10 PM and the deploy started. Deploying the packages took a bit longer than I expected so I had some really great time sleeping on my office chair.. xD ahh- finally some sleep! But next thing I know, it's already our turn so we tested, and tested, and tested until 3 AM. Mark still had some emails and reports to complete so we went home at around 3:30 AM and finally got some more sleep at 4 AM.

I woke up at 10:30 AM since it was reaaaaally hot because there was a power outage.. so I had to move to the living room to get some more sleep because there's some air coming from the outside there. But cannot sleep anymore, so finally I got up at 11:30 AM to eat some breakfast and get ready to go back to work.

1 PM, I picked Mark up as usual :) and we arrived in the office at around 2:30 PM -- 30 minutes late as always... xD I was really lazy the whole day... did some automation, ticket closing and assignments here and there... but near the end of the day, I concentrated on automation and was asking Mark a lot of questions. Then my boss checked out my code, gave some comments and suggestions, but overall I'm not sure how he finds it :)) I get the feeling that he's taking it easy on me.. xD now that makes me scared!

At 7 PM, we went to La Aplaya to have some drinks -- celebration for finally releasing Panama Phase 2! We missed drinking with everybody, talking a lot, cracking some jokes... Fun! Ann was also there for the first time~ but we were missing Juls, Tal and Rudolf. Oh right- speaking of Tal, she went for an ocular visit at the Batangas resorts for the company outing! I'm already excited to hear her stories~ xD

OK, I should be catching some sleep now... mata ne~!

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Yes.

I'm already done reading all released manga chapters of Kaichou wa Maid-sama. T____T
Now what will I read??!

I downloaded Yumeiro Patissiere 26, it's in my USB now, but have to wait to go home to be able to watch it.

Kimi ni Todoke (anime) is finished. T________T
I'm also done reading all released manga chapters, waiting for the English scans of chapters 43-45... painful.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama (anime) has just started showing in Japan and Animax. I watched episode 1 last Sunday at 8:30 PM. Weekly. T___T

What will I do now???!!!

会長はメイド様

....read : Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
....means : President is a Maid-sama!

The story is about a male-hater student council president at Seika High, Ayuzawa Misaki. The student body is 80% male so it makes her really angry all the time. But since she is just a poor student, she needed to work part-time at a Maid Cafe~ (I really want to go to one!)... She keeps it a secret because serving males in a Maid Cafe doesn't really coincide with her male-hating student council president image.

And then, there's Usui Takumi - a school hearthrob, rejects a girl's confession every now and then. It seems to me that Misaki is the only girl who is not interested in him. But that also slowly changes starting from when Usui found out about her maid cafe part-time job. Usui became a regular at the Maid Cafe to observe her, and see the other side of her... and then they became kind of friends (I don't know, they quarrel a lot, but looks like they quarrel because they are so close already~)...

Anyway, that's about the gist. It's a romantic comedy so you'll have a pretty good idea how it will end! ;) I'm already at Vol 8, Chapter 34, I've been reading it since the other day... as I've said from my previous post, soon I'll be running out of chapters to read. The anime is yet to show tomorrow at 8:30 PM on Animax... but then that will be a weekly painful waiting again. I really hope to find another quality shoujo manga or anime soon.... ;__; Waaaaaaaaaa.......

OK, I better get back to reading.. I'm so itching to find out what happens next!

さようなら,君に届け~!

The anime, yes. T__T
The manga, not yet!!! ^__^

I finished watching episode 25 of the anime... and I get the feeling that there will be a Season 2! I mean, they didn't even end up together! And the ending was not that much special, except that they held hands a bit and they went to the place where they first met... but that's all! I think there's more to come! Or is it just my wishful thinking? xD Anyway, I'm wishing for more!!!

But now that it has come to this... I only have one anime to watch and it's still freaking ongoing!!! So I have to wait for releases every week which is really painful... lol. I finished watching Kobato last Sunday night... damn, it made me cry really hard up to the last moment! I ended up having sinusitis the next morning because I was crying too much all night... Ah Clamp, someday you will pay! xD

So now I'm back to one, Yumeiro Patissiere. Good thing this has not come to an end yet! I hope it will go on like Yakitate Japan, very loooong~! xD Haaayy, nowadays it's very difficult looking for an anime that I will really like. I have an 11-episode Eden of the East lined up to be watched, but I'm still not that much in the mood for a cool anime... I'm still yearning for more shoujo romantic comedy, LOL.

Ah- I just remembered, I've been waiting for 会長はメイド様... It looks like my kind of anime, but it is yet to show on April! >_<;; so I will have to read the manga for now. I think a few volumes can keep me busy while waiting for the anime. But then again, someday, I will run out of chapters and episodes... and the painful waiting again. ;___;

Oh well, I think it's time to hit the Sims 3 for now... I'm downloading DJ Max Fever game for PSP but it will take some time to finish... so I need to occupy myself with something. Waaa, I want to buy the High End Loft stuff and World Adventure expansion!!! ;__; and then there's another expansion coming up this year (I hope!) which will add more career features... I hope I can buy all those when I finally have a salary raise!!! T__T

Things that I want to buy when I have some money (in no particular order) :
1. The Sims 3 World Adventure (expansion)
2. High End Loft stuff
3. Laptop (w/ specs perfect for gaming)
4. new sandals (I don't know how they call it now)
5. new rubber shoes
6. keyboard (the musical instrument)
7. new pair of jeans
8. a pair of shorts that fits me >_<;;
9. some new blouses and shirts

And most especially, I want a vacation!!! Our company outing is now being planned, and Tal is the representative of our team. It seems like we will be going to Laiya, Batangas~! Well not as good as the other beaches, but it will definitely do! I saw the websites of the places, and they seem really nice~ so I really can't wait! But after that, maybe in low season, I also want to go to my personal vacation w/ Mark~! We won't be able to spend much quality time if we're together with the whole company... xD

OK, I really have to go now and do some more playtime, instead of writing a stupid blog entry which no one is actually reading.

Kimi ni Todoke, episode 23

Watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://eclipse.speedsubs.org/projects/todoke
http://freemoneysubs.wordpress.com/2010/03/17/kimi-ni-todoke-23/

It's getting closer and closer to the peak... but I wonder how many anime episodes will there be? Originally, I thought it was just the usual 24-episode shoujo anime. But it's already the 23rd episode, and I cannot sense the end yet! I hope it's not yet ending!!! I still love to watch it~ and read it~

Oh right right! Did you download the latest chapter?? I hope you did!!! It was the best so far!!! I can't wait until chapter 40!!!

I can't remember if I already mentioned, but my Japanese friend gave me FIVE shiny volumes of Kimi ni Todoke~~~~~~!!! Now I'll just have to learn Nihongo. xD I'm already getting used to reading some hiragana. Good thing there was furigana on top of the kanji characters!! Ganbarimasu~!!

When we were in Puerto Galera last weekend, my friend bought her laptop and she showed us some of her anime collection! One was Red Sun, weird sentai-like anime but really funny! xD The other one was Eden of the East which was just released last year and looks very promising. I already downloaded all eleven episodes! Please check them out!!!

The Chapter.

This is the Kimi ni Todoke chapter that all of us have been waiting for.
Yes, people! Download it! This is my favorite chapter so far! And I'm sure it will also be your favorite~! Kyaaaaaa~! xD
But don't upload it to other manga sites since Mango Scans do not appreciate that. So please go on- download it from their site directly! NOW!

Manami, my super Japanese tester friend, has arrived in Manila!! :D unfortunately though, I won't be able to spend much time with her since she's on training. But we'll be having dinner tonight with other friends! :) Yay~ I can't wait! Really thanks to her~ I got my very first original manga! Yes it's the real thing!! And it's Kimi ni Todoke!!! Yay~ I'm sooooo happy~!!! And also, we got to eat some Japanese snacks again... おいしい!

LOL, ok I just posted that... haven't posted anything in a while. So yeah, bai-bai everyone!!!

Oh right, I also recommend watching the following anime :
Yumeiro Patissiere
Kobato
It sucks though, that they are still ongoing so need to wait for each subbed release every week! Thanks to all fansub groups who very nice people to tolerate the impatient whims of us leechers! LOL xD let's give them our appreciation, guys! No complaints allowed! ;)

A very useful article!

So here's the thing. My cousin was using our PC when we were out of the house, and what do we know, of course he's lurking in porn sites! So yeah, when I came back home, the PC was dead. Well at least it dies the instant it starts loading Windows. What a useless OS... xD

But luckily, Mark has an Ubuntu Live CD. Hurray! So right now, I'm using the live CD to access my hard drive. But for some people, it won't be so easy to back everything up using this OS. But luckily again, you can use Google to find other people who are kind enough to post articles that can help you!

And I'm passing it on~! I soooo owe this article big time!
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/

Well actually I can just ask Mark the command he used the last time he helped me mount my hard disk to Ubuntu but then again, I'll have to know myself right? :D Yay~!

Watching anime

Waiting every week for the fansubbed release of anime is sooooo painful.... @___@

Currently I'm watching two series : Kimi ni Todoke and Yumeiro Patissiere. YP is a really cute and sweet anime with a lot of cakes and pastries~! A somehow laid-back school life~! Kimi ni Todoke is a shoujo romantic comedy that gives me butterflies.. xD Every episode just makes me yearn for the next episode~~~!! >_<;; Aaahh, another week of waiting. It sucks. But I am sooooooo grateful to FMS for bringing us the fansubbed version of KnT in less than 24 hours! Really cool release! Well it seems Eclipse has it as well, dunno which group did first. xD It was just favorable to get the direct download instead of the torrent earlier so I went to FMS first. Hurray for speedy fansub groups~! Let us help them by not insulting their work and annoying them with our where's-the-next-episode?! complaints by understanding that anime series are shown
weekly in Japan.

Anyway, here are the links to Kimi ni Todoke ep. 15 download~

I just realized that there are two things that gave me butterflies today :
My boyfriend giving me flowers after so many years
Kimi ni Todoke

Mark went to PCX today with his brother to take a broken CPU... Then they came by my house, and it was a big surprise that he gave me flowers.. <3>

I was addicted to Youda Sushi Chef game that Tal introduced me to... but it already came a time when it became so damn difficult so I finally stopped playing. Then I read the Kimi ni Todoke manga I downloaded earlier. It was so great! But of course the story just won't end so happily.. I believe a new antagonist has appeared so... things will be difficult again for Sawako-chan and Kazehaya-kun. :D I cannot wait for the next episode and chapter...

Recently, I also discovered another anime. I think I found it on New Year before I went to sleep.
Yumeiro Patissiere! It's soooo cute and the plot is about a cute girl attending a baking school. The anime is so full of cakes and sweets~ yay my ideal story~ xD

Anyway, yeah I'm so happy today! ^__^ I'm so grateful of my boyfriend he's sooo sweet even after 5 years! <3>

I had a great day today! ^__^

Today was great. It felt like it really came true, the prayer that I've always recited everyday in my mind.. "I hope that this will be a great day."

Nothing special. We went to work like we used to. We were late as usual. My boss finally came to office after being absent for 2 days after his very long vacation. Apparently, he was stuck in his country because of delayed flights due to heavy snow in some places.

Just like the first few days into New Year, there were a lot of work to do. My boss asked me if I'm happy with my work, and yes, I still am. It's very challenging (though sometimes really scary), and I learn a lot of things. I feel like I always have some use to other people. I never run out of work to do, even though sometimes I act as if otherwise because I'm really lazy. The more I learn from my work, the more I can help my other teammates. I feel happy whenever I can share with others what I have learned. ^.^

We missed the free lunch. Mark and I were already hungry but everybody are still working. It was Margarita dry-run, so we went ahead to have our lunch. When we were about to mount the elevator back to the office, Mark noticed the 2 missed calls from our teammate. When we came back to office, none of our teammates were there. They went to Hap Chan at South Supermarket and the boss bought everyone free lunch. Lesson of the afternoon: if the whole team has not gone to lunch yet by 12:40 PM, wait a little more and you just might get a free lunch.

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my lunch very much. ^__^

The rest of the day, Mark was bugging me like an all-in-one-virus-adware-spyware-hacker. He was acting like several popup ads on my jabber, typing nonsense or gibberish messages, sending me weird files from my own PC, and sending me emails which contain, I'll let you guess, nonsense stuff. It was fun, xD I was laughing all the time and he was having so much fun. xD Twice, he made my Trillian freeze that I had to end-task the program. It was a Mark virus.

Anyway, I was still working pretty hard but really waiting for 6 PM to come. Then a lot more things came up that I had to work past 6 PM. But I'm getting hungry and it's Friday night, and I really want to go home already. 7PM, we left the office and proceeded to South Supermarket to withdraw some money and eat dinner.

Since we left the office, we were talking about all sorts of nonsense stuff... Mark was so kulit he's so adorable. xD During dinner, he was getting worse and we're having so much fun, talking about anything at all and we won't even feel bad.

He was really fun to be with today~ thank God for sick leaves! He was on sick leave yesterday, therefore he was able to rest. He's been sick since the start of the year and had became a pretty lame companion the other day because he was feeling really sick. Luckily he took the day off yesterday and had a wonderful rest, so he became energetic again today and we had so much fun. I am so happy today, I wish everyday is like that. I'm so grateful that after more than 5 years, we can still be as happy as this. Everything is so worthwhile... ^__^

And I just want to blog about everything. It is just so overwhelming that these memories will stay with me forever, even if blogger shuts down.

KnT madness!

I've been keeping an eye on FMS and Eclipse website... and finally! I saw it right before we left the office...

Kimi ni Todoke episode 13! Hurray!!

I immediately downloaded it as soon as I got home and I just finished watching it~!! Uwaaa I'm really getting hooked... I can't wait until the next episode... Huuuuu... I hate Kurumi-chan and I wonder how will the anime end... I believe it won't be the same as the manga since the manga is still ongoing and a bit far already from the anime. Too bad.. it would have been great if this anime would have more episodes! It would be difficult again to find another anime like this... ;___;

Anyway, Manga Zone Scans, now known as Mango Scans... Another scanlation group (ありがとうございます~!!!) have been translating KnT manga!!! Faster releases yay! They've been working even during holidays! (I think I already mentioned that in my previous post though...)
Read it read it! Then support the manga by buying it in your country! Yay yay~!! <3

Oh well, it's time to sleep again... my mom is watching the reality TV that annoys me most.... pbb.... >_<;; wish I have my own peaceful room to sleep in...

Happy New Year~! ^__^

I shouldn't really be this happy because my very long vacation ends today... ;__; I've been on vacation since December 16 and I think I already forgot that I have work. >_<;; Oh well, I'll get the feeling again tomorrow, waa!

Anyway, 2010 has been great so far -- well it's just the 3rd day so I'd be really unlucky if I already got into some trouble right? January 1, I just stayed at home most of the day but went out with Mark during the afternoon just to have some burger moment xD and well we just went for a joyride with the initial intention of buying something from the mall but it turned out that most of the shops were closed...

January 2-3 were the best days so far~! Mark and I went to Island Cove by January 2 lunch time. When we arrived there, there were no available rooms yet since the hotel was fully booked on January 1st.

So we ate lunch first at the Fishing Village and went for a biking stroll at the Animal Island. The animals were so cute, except for the crocodiles and the reptiles @__@ I liked the iguana though... The deers are sooooo big and a bit scary. The bunnies, turtles and the baby goats are really cute xD The monkeys look scary too because they seem to be fighting for the bananas... T__T the pigs are really big and piggy... xD

Anyway, we finished at past 2PM so the room was already available. We watched TV for a while and prepared to go swimming~ yay I enjoyed it, we had so much fun! Mark taught me how to pick up a coin from the pool floor, LOL xD the water was so cold even at the sunny parts of the pool! It was also windy so it feels colder when you get out of the pool! We went to the slide just once because I was so scared haha but everything's a good experience, we really had so much fun!

We ate quite a lot at merienda, so when we got back to the hotel room, we didn't feel the need to go out for dinner anymore. We just watched TV the whole night! I was already sleepy by 8 or 9 PM I think... but Mark couldn't sleep because the people outside are very noisy! So he kept on watching TV, and I kept on sleeping and waking up at times to watch TV with him.. xD then we became hungry at 9:30 PM so we ordered some food.. xD we ate and I got back to sleep while he kept on watching TV until it was quiet outside.

I wake up at 8 AM and I couldn't sleep anymore so I watched TV while waiting for Mark to wake up. Later he would tell me that when it finally became quiet outside last night, I moved a lot while sleeping so he still couldn't sleep right away.. xD so sorry! xD anyway, by 9 AM I woke him up because we had to catch up with the free breakfast buffet.

There were not much choices in the buffet but it's good enough to fill our tummies well. After breakfast, we went back to the room to sleep some more until 11:30 AM. I'd say, that 45 minutes of sleep was the best sleep we could have during our stay! xD But we're still happy and had so much fun. We left the place happily but as usual, Mark is feeling like he'll get sick after sleeping in an air conditioned room. xD no sick leaves yet on the first working day of the year!! xD

Yep, those were the first 3 days of my 2010 and I'm having fun so far. I hope this year will be great. :)

I just finished reading the latest chapters of Kimi ni Todoke, thank you Mango Scans! http://z6.invisionfree.com/Mango_Scans/index.php?showtopic=105 (previously known as Manga Zone Scans, as far as I know, they are the third to take up the KnT scanlation project and I am so grateful of their hard work even during the holidays!) Anyway, it was also New Year in the manga so I was hoping there would be something like visiting the temple during New Year and drawing our luck for this year.. xD though I think it's also a good thing that I wouldn't know my luck like that because then it would be a different feeling right? Like if you got a Good Luck or Excellent Luck, then you'd be expecting that much luck... and get really disappointed if you didn't. Oh well!

Anyway it's time for me to go to sleep! Despite the fact that I slept until 8 PM since I went home from Island Cove.. xD I just woke up to eat some dinner, then I checked my mail and found out that there are new KnT releases so I read.. and here I am blogging. LOL okay I really need to go to bed now! It's back to work tomorrow so good luck to all of us and happy new year!!! :D I hope we will all have a wonderful year ahead of us! ^__^
