For those who would like to buy Kimi ni Todoke manga

I've been wanting to buy Kimi ni Todoke for a long time now... but cannot find any shops here in the Philippines that sell this manga. >_<;; so I've got no choice but to check out some online stores.

I've tried searching in Amazon.com since it's one of the first reliable results from my Google-ing, but it turns out to be quite expensive. Then I thought of searching Amazon.co.jp and it's cheaper, about Php500 for one volume... but that's for people who can read Japanese because only a few parts of the site are converted in English.

Then, I just discovered that Amazon.co.uk gives me the best deal for this manga. With less than Php400 I can buy one volume of Kimi ni Todoke, though I am still about to find out how much is the shipping fee! They also seem to be out of stock for the volume 2 T___T either that or they mistakenly uploaded the wrong photo.

Anyway, I don't have much money right now so I will come back to register next time! xD I will definitely blog about it when I get to buy the manga!

Nice people giving away free nice stuff ^.^

...and I am such a leecher. xD Oh cmon, I will definitely buy the manga anyway ^__^ I love this manga sooo much! First time that I became hooked on something that doesn't really have sounds or animations... xD

So anyway, let's welcome Fushigi Mystery,
another scanlations group who are really really nice to bring us more Kimi ni Todoke scans! Very nice people and they're even asking us for evaluations! Let's support them okay! And let's also support Kimi ni Todoke, as they always say, buy the original manga from your country! ^.^ Hurray~ for Kazehaya-kun and Sawako-chan! <3 Eclipse or FMS!

Merry Christmas

Well for those who can, have yourselves a Merry Christmas! I hope we can learn to be grateful of the things that we have, the time that we can enjoy, and the happiness that we feel today. Let us not take these for granted because A LOT of people will actually die for even just 5 minutes of our lives.

Victims and relatives are suffering right now. They cannot have their usual noche buena, and they can only depend on the help that well-off people like us will give. You know... I just can't help but think that these people will benefit mostly from the PBB house. I just read a few articles about all the PBB housemates since season 1 and most of them are actually rich and have decent or even high-paying jobs (save for a very few who are actually being depended on by their families and really needed the show's prize money to carry on). Instead of watching FHM or commercial models, business owners, half-Filipino half-Whatever hunks and babes... I think it would warrant an Oprah episode if Philippines would reinvent the Big Brother franchise and turn it into a very unique and charitable reality show. Well I'm not really sure if it's okay to do that. I'm not really in the position to say this since I'm not creative myself, but in my honest opinion and maybe just speaking as a television viewer, Filipinos in the entertainment industry are losing their creativity. Franchise this, franchise that. And what's really really annoying is that only the good-looking men and women are getting richer. Or okay, not good-looking but as long as you have those great muscles or double D breasts - YOU'RE IN! About time for someone to step in and tell me, "who do you think you are, talking like you're all great and mighty criticizing other people?" okay, time to shut up. Just expressing my opinions, so sorry for anyone who got offended.

I just feel really bad for the victims... and not to mention that I know at least 2 people who died 2 days before Christmas. It's really depressing to see a coffin inside the house instead of a festive noche buena. Makes me feel so lucky that I'm still here and I can enjoy with the people I love, eat delicious food, or express myself in facebook or a blog... while some people are literally spending Christmas on the streets.

Anyway, apologies for the depressing post. I really just had to. :)

My Be*ch List

I've got a list of beaches that I will definitely go to! Deadline is three years from now, which means I should be able to visit at least one each year! YAY! Well I'm not rich so I can only visit at least two beaches within the year I guess... If only I'll get a raise...... xD

Caramoan Peninsula

Potipot, Zambales

Pagudpud, Ilocos

Coron, Palawan

Honestly I don't enjoy the ocean much because it's too wide and deep, not to mention that the water is salty and you can't really go underwater much. Also, the two occasions that I've been there, I always get skin rashes which make it difficult for me to walk around and enjoy myself. But nevertheless, those two occasions were very memorable for me and I still enjoyed them in spite of myself.. so I want to go more! Besides, swimming pools are not really nice to look at... beaches are! Especially during sunrise and sunset... and it's nice to walk by the shores... <3

DISCLAIMER: Images are not mine. Obviously I've never been to these beaches so how can I take them? These images belong to the following owners :

Some random visitors from some random places

Look at my whos.amung.us widget at the bottom of my blog!! My blog hits have increased! Weird huh... especially when I've only been spouting nonsense everytime.

Anyway, it's been a long time since my last post! And I won't bore you anymore with very loooong entries... I will just post some pictures next time when I have the chance.

Today, I've signed up to quite a lot of fanlistings so check out my new widget on the right~ :D

On top of that new widget, I posted a button linking to fanplusfriends.com. It's an online cosplay shop that sells very cheap anime costumes but are made from high quality materials! What more, they are willing to customize the sizes depending on your measurements! Nice huh! So I'm planning to buy one from there but I still have to take my measurements... which is quite depressing since I'm really plump (太) right now... T__T Anyway, they also ship worldwide so... yeah great shop!

So I still have some pending anime to watch and manga to read... so ja ne~!

Some random quote

A quote from someone's blog:
I love to have fun and play around, get dirty and all. But my number one rule: the guy must be single.
Yay, good for you. Okay, I gotta give you something - at least you don't hit on married men. But still, it seems to me that girls / women like you make Gabriella's cause appear so outdated.

Yaoiness

I've been watching Saiyuki for a while now and it is shameful to say that I assumed the mangaka behind it is a guy... since it's action, supernatural and all... Then I also begin to wonder, if the mangaka was a guy, then why the heck are there so many yaoi-looking scenes?! So I finally thought of googling it and found that Saiyuki was written by 峰倉かずや Minekura Kazuya, definitely not a guy.

So now I understand. :D

Otaku on fire, part 3

Reading Kimi ni Todoke manga right now....
*cannot wait for ep 4 tomorrow* @________________@

Otaku on fire, part 2

Why the heck does manga cost so much?!?!?????!!!
;______; nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.........

Otaku on fire, part 1

Eclipse is a speedsubbing group, right?
Yes, Eclipse is the speediest of speedsub groups. We basically invented the concept of a high quality speedsub. Want some proof? We are so dedicated to the concept that we bought ourselves the domain speedsubs.org and continue to set new standards in the field of quality-to-speed ratio.
So I guess I'll be expecting the 4th episode after all!!! :D :D :D やった!!!

嬉しい

One of the things that I hate... waiting for the subs. xD Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the fansubbing groups, not at all. I'm so grateful to them that they actually do this job without receiving constant income. I just hate the waiting, that's all. xD

Actually, I'm trying to finish watching Saiyuki but I always fall asleep while watching, no idea why. Not that it's boring, actually I think it's cool. I have absolutely no idea why I keep falling asleep while watching it. Maybe because of the very laid back setting... It's the same with Rurouni Kenshin. I always fall asleep without fail. So yeah, would be great if I can finish both of them someday -- would be a miracle if I can do that by end of this year. LOL.

So recently, I wandered about Production I.G.'s website (it's the Japanese anime studio and production enterprise to thank for giving us Blood+, oh how I loved that anime). Trying to find some good old horror anime like Blood+... but found this instead -- Kimi ni Todoke. Instantly fell in love with the picture; I cannot read Kanji so I don't understand the description at all. Anyway, so I looked for a plot summary for this anime and I loved it. I finally found another romantic comedy worth downloading. Okay, sorry for the other readers who probably do not enjoy watching cheesy stuff like this. :D anyway, I just downloaded the first episode last weekend and I finished the 2nd and 3rd episode earlier and watched them right away. I didn't fell asleep but I did cry at the first episode. I laughed and cried and felt the butterflies. Sh*t, romantic comedy it is! I never thought I would find another one like this. So now I can't wait until the next episode... It just started showing in Japan, the 4th episode was just shown today and judging from Eclipse's speed in releasing subs, I should expect the next episode by tomorrow! Yay! I hope they can do it tomorrow, I CAN'T WAIT!!! :D :D :D Gomen, it's been a long time since I was really hooked to an anime...

Anyway, okay. Been a long time since my last post again. Gomen!

Last Friday, Mark wanted to go to a resort. Saturday, I looked for some good ones in the net. I also called to confirm some details. Sunday was another lazy day for me but I had to do some packing too. Monday, it was a really hot road trip to Los Baños, Laguna. My God. We were sweating, really! Arrived at Splash Mountain by 11am. Checked in, had lunch, went swimming on a really hot pool. :)) this is worse than summer! But we still enjoyed so much. Ate snacks, played table tennis.. It was my first time and Mark was only teaching me with what he learned from his college PE class. Well at least I got from 0 up to 8 points within an hour! Well mostly because of Mark's fault but it's still my point. xD at least according to our rule book. I guess no one knows the exact rules to the game. After that, went back to the room to rest for a while, then went out again for lunch. The food was really great there, although takes longer time to serve... Then back to the room for a lazy night. We had an indoor jacuzzi and it was really hot! xD It was relaxing and I really like the bubbles! :)) After 1 hour in the jacuzzi, we watched The Game Plan -- a Disney movie, kinda funny and nice story. ;) We didn't finish it that night because we were really tired and sleepy and a really comfortable and soft bed is waiting for us. :D Except for me waking up in the middle of the night to attend to my clogged nose, I slept like a baby... :) Then when we woke up at 7:30am, we resumed watching the movie and after that, started preparing for breakfast. As usual, the food was great and I got full even though I only ate a ham & cheese omelette. Took some random pictures and went back to the room to prepare for departure. By 11am, we have already checked out and left the place. It was just a shame that we weren't able to find the D' ORIGINAL BUKO PIE store... so we just settled for Collette's buko pie again. Another hot road trip again up to Alabang where we got some money from the ATM (we were almost bankrupt by the time we left Splash Mountain) then went to SM Molino, hoping to watch 2012 but it seems they're not showing it yet. So we just went straight home and bum around for the rest of the day.

Yep so here I am, finished with the first 3 episodes of Kimi ni Todoke (crazy, but I'm actually thinking of watching them again right now) and it's almost 6pm... and my lazy days are almost over... have to go back to office tomorrow.. I'm having a terrible headache but I think I had the most wonderful 2-days leave... ^___^

Revolutionary

I have seen so many commercials -- I have already ranted on how girls can be sooo damn slutty in those. Some even promotes flirting with more than one person. Example is the feminine wash commercial where the girl dropped her stuff and about more than 10 guys immediately rushed to get her things, getting close to the girl's lower body just to say that her vagina smells good because of the feminine wash. RIGHT. There are a bunch of commercials like that if you watch the TV at noontime. Anyway...

This is the most incredible, amazing commercial I have ever seen! I don't care what other people say but I already watched this 3 times and I'm still getting teary-eyed. Advertisement companies can learn a thing or two from this one. The story is not at all related from the product being advertised, but what the hell? I don't care at all. xD I LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL.

She also sells some merchandise!

(I was about to post some angry thought, but I came across her artwork and I felt so cutesy and happy, so I posted this instead. :D)

Trying out the sunny side up

Issue
Jacque Bermejo. Camille Magno. You can do the google and you'll know immediatey what I'm talking about.

Normal reaction (but not really mine, since I prefer to stay like a tiny pimple on earth)
Join the whole Filipino community. Post everywhere on the Internet and express your feelings of hatred towards the two instant celebrities.

My point of view
If you have any negative opinions about something, think -- are you really considering the black and white of the situation? Or do you just care about not wasting your saliva (or your ability to type on a keyboard, for that matter) to the point that you'd just blurt out anything that comes to your mind? I think criticism should go with trying to understand first what you are criticizing. When you say something negative, always try to inject some positive views -- anything at all, I'm sure you can think of something. Otherwise, if you don't mind being the topic of forums and blogs and facebook groups with the words "F*ck you" and your whole name on it, then okay I guess you can say whatever you want. But really, freedom of speech comes with a lot of responsibility.

Looking at the bright side
Filipinos are now using the Internet a lot. They know now the power of Google (or Yahoo, or whatever search engine they're using). A significant number of Filipinos (especially the youth) are frequenters of networking sites... and well, updates and news traverses faster than ever. I guess we can say that this is also another way of learning...

-FIN-

This will be the first and last time that I will post anything about this issue. If you are really obssessed with this issue AND is a good friend of mine, then I guess I can entertain you with a few hours of rambling IN PERSON and out of earshot of anyone who might get offended. Probably inside the cupboard under the stairs in the Dursley's. Well... no, seriously, let's not talk about this anymore.

A different perspective

My original point of view

I don't like it very much when other people take advantage of this calamity for personal gain such as boosting their popularity and making themselves look good.

My different perspective (a very difficult one to take)
But then again, a lot of people idolize and admire these personalities. Seeing them do something good encourages and inspires them to do the same.

Lesson for the day
I guess in some situations, it doesn't matter that much if you have some ulterior motive, as long as you're still doing something good for others. Well for one, giving a boost to your popularity does not deal much damage to other people, does it? On the other hand, popularity turns out to be an effective stimulus for people to start doing something good.

My own realization
I believe this is the time where I stop rambling and start doing something good too.

My impossible dream

Watch out for the somehow-chubby guy with glasses and a-little-messed-up hair. And also look out for Uematsu Nobuo-san who will take over the conducting of the orchestra near the end of the performance. Really, I must say. That somehow-chubby guy with glasses and a-little-messed-up hair is living my dream -- playing the oboe under the baton of The Maestro.

I wonder if it could ever be more than a dream for me... But first of all, the oboe is still on my wishlist... after having paid for the car, and after having my own house... and my very own alienware... Okay, when I turn 50 years old, I will be able to buy my oboe. If I'm lucky, I'd still be alive and I still have the strong bones and enough energy to go to Japan and materialize the dream. But then again, how old will Uematsu-san be by that time? 77.

*dream poofs* Only time will tell. :)

Never thought I could hate a post this much

I like storms.. or heavy rains... especially when I'm at home doing nothing. I was enjoying it this morning to my heart's content. Just downloading some MP3s to burn so that we will have some new sounds to listen to in the car.

Mark and I were planning to watch Surrogates at SM Molino on 3PM. My mom was nagging me to not go because of the heavy rain. But I still did. Then it happened. We just arrived at the already full parking lot, and luckily there was one space free and we parked there. Wish it was just as simple as that... there was a round post at the right side and the car came too close to it until it scratches against the car door. It was okay at first, just some paint rubbed off onto the car. But the car wasn't positioned properly yet, so we still have to do some maneuvering to make it right. The parking space was very small and narrow, there was also a car behind us so we couldn't go backwards too much -- and that makes the parking so damn difficult. So we tried to position the car properly while the damn post was scratching away on the car door. Since both of us are very newbies at maneuvering in very narrow spaces, we couldn't get away from the post anymore. Luckily, there was a man and a woman who helped us and gave us very precise directions on how we can park properly. I thought we will never be able to get out of that... We said our thanks to the people who helped us then finally got out of the car. Looking at the right side of the car, there were a lot of white paint from the f*cking post. I HATE THAT POST (if it's not yet obvious). There was also a large dent on the car door, perfectly shaped like the post, it seems that the post was already too comfortable leaning on the car door for a while. You know like when your head is lying on a pillow for a while, and when you finally get up, you'll see that your head has already left a mark on the pillow. Yeah. Just like that.

It took us like 30 minutes to park, so we already missed the movie. We decided to go for the next schedule which is at 5PM. So we ran some errands first, bought a rubbing compound and went back to the car. Mark knew there was a reason why we bought a LOT of rags when we were stuck in traffic in Laguna. This is it. So we spent another 30 minutes removing the white paint on the car. And while I was doing that, the damn post was still annoying me... there's some water from the post pouring on me. It was also scratching against my hand. REALLY, I HATE THAT POST.

After a lot of hard work, the car looks okay now except for the large round-shaped dent - yeah, oh well. We went back inside the mall to buy some food, we were already hungry from all the parking stress. After eating, we are finally on our way to the cinemas. GREAT! We're watching a movie! I was about to buy the tickets, and Mark was buying popcorn... when the cinema attendant told me that the only available movie is "In My Life." Apparently, they are having some problems and I don't care what anymore.

I really hate that post. >_<;;

In response to Annie's thoughts on group names

Instead of posting a very long comment on Annie's page, I posted this instead. xD This is also to avoid rambling on Annie's blog... :)) Anyway here goes... :D

Actually Wonder Girls is a loooot better than Pussycat Dolls and Mocha Girls... See the comparison -- Pussycat Dolls are, in my opinion, very sexy to the point of slutty (sorry to their fans).. I mean, don't get me wrong, they DO have a lot of talent in singing and dancing.... But do they really have to wear too little clothing and indulge the horny guys out there so that they can be famous? I believe a lot of not-so-good-looking girls and guys have emerged without having to stoop so low like that, as long as they have a lot of talent to show right? Just look at Susan Boyle -- she's got millions of fans! And guess what? There's also a reality show called The Search for the Next Doll, and of course the contestants will have to be as equally slutty as they can be, and of course a lot of talent....

Anyway, during the peak of their career, the Filipinos suddenly thought, "Oh why don't we do our own version of that?!", "GREAT IDEA!"... And then they grouped five half-Filipino models, give them some little clothing as long as they can show a lot of skin like the Pussycat Dolls... Guess what their name is? KITTY GIRLS. Get it? Pussycat = Kitty...... Then there's Mocha Girls, and who knows what else... xD The sad part here is, according to Crystal, one of the girls (maybe the leader?) Mocha is very talented in singing... But yeah, maybe in this industry where there's a lot of competition, I guess you really have to literally give everything you can just to be famous.... Really sad.

And then, there's the Wonder Girls. They are not at all slutty, in my opinion. But please feel free to correct me if you find any not-so-good pics of them. xD I think their style is more like DreamGirls? Haven't watched the movie but their 70's costumes and hairstyles resemble somehow.. :) Looks a lot better and more artistic, right? ;) They can be cute and sexy without looking too slutty. And there's a lot of talent there too.

So anyway, yup there's my long response! :))) Really sorry, but slutty girl groups really piss me off sometimes... I mean, REALLY! A lot of people are trying to fight for women's rights, but here we are, selling ourselves, giving the desires of the rapists and molesters. For those of you who listen to the radio or watch the TV... tell me. How many commercials are there which uses the concept of women seducing men? Really now... what has happened to the world? And the really-pissing-me-off part here is the young people - kids and teens will be imitating that kind of stuff. God help us... :)))

Anyway, yeah enough of my rambling.

DISCLAIMER: Well, who am I to point fingers? I, myself, have a lot of flaws such as grammar and spelling, and a lot more with my attitude. Sorry, I'm just blowing off some steam. xD freedom of speech. :) Sorry if this has been offensive to anyone, just voicing out my thoughts.

For Annie :))

Loooooong vacation.

Okay so finally I get to rest for the whole week -- 10 days straight! Yay for me~!!! I believe this is my first time to take a vacation without any events or TO-DOs.. And so sorry it's been a long time since my last post.. I've been very laaaazy.. plus a lot of people are now using the PC here at home and I am too tired to turn on the laptop.... I've always been so sleepy at work and when I come home... I really need this vacation so much.. @___@

Anyway, so what can I say? Hmm.. ah- my brother got married to his almost 4-year girlfriend... They're happy so far, and we're also very happy that Kris is living here! :D but really, what is the deal with marriage? I don't know what to believe in, some things just scare me, but sometimes, I think it's really great to finally marry the one you truly love... not just the one who got you pregnant or, the one who you could just settle with because he has a stable job and lots of money. I don't know. Whatever. xD Only time will tell, I guess...

Then some deploys gone wrong but fortunately have been fixed or fixing in progress... Some Mark-breakdowns due to too much automation.. T___T poor guy.. what else? A few days that I totally do not know what to do during work... -- actually either that or I am just too lazy to find something to do.. There was one happy week for whole team because our boss went for a vacation.. ahhh.. bliss. xD That was one really happy week. Since previous months, he's been looking serious all the time, probably working on how to save our dying IT department... xD we're not looking very good in biz' point of view right now haha.. so yup, that makes everything stressful at work during these times. Not to mention that a lot of people are resigning, but they still chose to up their standards for accepting new employees. Hmm... anyway that's up to them.

Okay enough of work. xD Yesterday was Cris' daughter Trisha's 1st birthday~! Yay! We had so much fun.. First of all, we met with Pauline at Alabang then together we embarked on our journey to somewhere in Biñan. :)) We skipped our supposed SLEX exits so we had to go back and stuff... ask a lot of people for directions -- but nothing actually helped. xD Only one of them gave us the correct direction but it was contradicting the Google maps so.... finally we decided to call Arnel, who, by the way, left his house much later than we did but arrived at the venue much earlier than us. xD so he let me talk to Cris and he asked where we were, and gave us precise directions on how to go to the venue. Finally at 5 PM we arrived at the venue, and fortunately there are still a lot of food left. xD Arnel and Annie were already there~ been a long time since I last saw Annie and she was strikingly beautiful and glowing! :))) Hey Annie, long hair looks great on you! :D Then we had so much fun at the party, too many stories and gossiping which is BAD, BAD! Hahaha.. The best part was we have our own goodie bags and balloons!! We took a lot of pictures, mostly of Mark molesting the provocatively-shaped balloon. :)))) Haaayy.. I wish we could have more events like that where everyone will gather and we will just have fun like kids do. :)

So that was DAY 1 of my long vacation. Today is DAY 2, and I tried waking up early, hoping that my brother is still sleeping so I can use the PC to play The Sims 3. Unfortunately, yup he's already wide awake, clicking away through Mafia Wars and Farmville, and who knows what else he's doing... so I just lay on the sofa, tried to go back to sleep... but alas, I am already awake. So, went online on my laptop (that is to say, the laptop issued to me by the company xD), searched for sites where I can download Gensomaden Saiyuki. I even came across one that says "Gensou Maiden Saiyuki" -- okay that one sounds girly so it must be incorrect right? I couldn't find anything except for one which looks like French subbed to me, then I just realized that download sites do not label it as Gensomaden Saiyuki but only Saiyuki. RIGHT. xD So yep, now I'm on my 2nd download.. hoping that my brother will go out today so I can play The Sims 3 today nonstop. :))

Must have bored you to death by now with my nonsense stories (if you have read this to the end, then you probably have a lot of time on your hands).. So I think this is my cue to stop. Though I doubt if anyone will actually read this, haha... REALLY, I should remember to post every now and then so that I will stop posting ultra long entries.

OKAY, I really have to stop now. BYE-BEE~! (got this from Shinri-chan xD)

TV -> some thoughts -> song -> some thoughts -> TV

Okay now you're probably wondering why I posted this video of a Japanese guy playing the piano... xD Let's start from the top.

I was watching some TV series and heard the name "Amelia Earhart" and I was wondering who is that woman? I remembered her name from that song "Someday We'll Know" by the New Radicals, and later on by Mandy Moore and Jonathan Foreman for the movie, "A Walk to Remember"... so I did a Google search and here's what I found:

Sources:
Wikipedia
Site built in memory of her -> I'm not very sure who created this site

Anyway, it turns out that Amelia Earhart is an amazing female pilot, has did a lot of firsts in her life in the field of aviation... and she attempted to be the first to fly around the world! But before she could do that, she suddenly disappeared with her navigator while she was flying towards Howland Island. A lot of money was spent on searching for her but no body or bones were found. There were a lot of theories on her disappearance, if you're interested, you may check out the Wikipedia source. xD

So anyway, I was reading through her page and found some Music references about her... and found the song "Someday We'll Know" as I remembered earlier. Then found another song, "Amelia's Missing" by Jon McLaughlin - and just remembered his song "So Close" from one of Disney's most amazing movies of all time - "Enchanted". Please watch it if you are a fan of realistic feel-good fairy tales! I really love that movie! And I also really love the soundtrack! Especially this song, "So Close". So I was trying to search for the original MTV of Jon McLaughlin in Youtube but couldn't find any... instead, I found a bunch of people who recorded their own video while they were playing the song on piano. And the video above was the best that I found because this is a full version and I can really feel the emotion in the sound of the piano. Really nice work!

And then I just remembered one of my ultimate dreams was to play the clarinet for the orchestra of 植松伸夫 Uematsu Nobuo who composed a lot of songs for Final Fantasy video games. I really loooove his compositions! And I really want to play someday for his orchestra... Anywaaay... I just realized that I still want to buy a really nice keyboard and I want to play the keyboard again whenever I feel like it. And when I finally got a keyboard, I WILL download tons and tons of music sheets from the web! Yay~!!

So there, I just got myself a lot more things to look forward to someday... and things to spend money on... Oh. Now that I think about it.... I'm kinda broke. xD Maybe I should just resume watching TV for now. xP

Boracay Trip~!

Here are some ugly pictures from Boracay! I wasn't able to take any nice pictures because I wanted to relax and enjoy without having to worry about the camera all the time.. xD lazy me! And I wasn't able to bring my very nice camera phone... so I only used the company phone for taking pictures... xD For more pictures, please visit Mark's Facebook account! ^__^

Wedding and cars

Dunno if I already posted it here... but my brother's getting married on August 20! Yay! I really hope they don't end up like most couples do.. :) Anyway, it's Saturday and I'm staying at home today. Doing a favor for my brother, I am downloading some nice songs for their wedding. :) And... I've come across this really nice blog which has posted some mp3 download links for The Philippine Madrigal Singers! Very very nice! I've always wanted some mp3s from the PMS (lol, that didn't sound so nice xD)! Anyway, you may try downloading the songs IF you're a big fan of choir and a capella songs. DO NOT DOWNLOAD if you're a hiphop or a hardcore rockista!!! :)))

Anyway, Mark and I have been driving to office since July 14 Tuesday! Mark is already getting the hang of it, even though we weren't able to practice last weekend because of BORACAY~! Yay! And it was a really nice escape after a lot of work in the office. Although it started raining by Sunday afternoon until we got home, it's still okay and fun! I also got my left foot injured from too much massage.. xD it's still aching until now! And I got an ugly henna tattoo -- ugly because it started raining after I got it sooo it became really ugly even before we left Boracay. T__T I will post some pictures in just a short while~!

Back to the car! It's broken right now.. T___T kawaisou... my mom brought it to the repair shop today and hopefully he will be all feeling nice again later. Mark and I named him Yoru~ after the kitty shugo chara.. although I'm not sure if Mark likes the name xD he doesn't watch Shugo Chara. :))

So let me take care of the pictures first so I can post them here! Ja ne~! :D :D :D

Latest Update!!!

We're alive!!!!!!!!!!!! We arrived at the office in 1 PIECE!!!!!! >_<;; Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! It took us 30 minutes to drive to Alabang... and another 30 minutes to park... @_______@

Hisashiburi~~~

Okay, it's been a good 1 and a half month that I have not posted a single character on this blog - shame on me! I was not even busy at work! I was just busy watching anime and playing The Sims 3 during weekends... I am such a lazy person. @__@

Work.. There was the deploy last June which looked like it went out smoothly -- big thanks to Shinri who managed to stay awake for the whole duration... unlike me who is supposed to be the role model @__@ gawd, I am sooo horrible. I was like asleep for a good 30 minutes! Now here's a reminder for me.. DON'T LIE ON YOUR BACK WITH THE LAPTOP ON YOUR TUMMY DURING DEPLOY. It could have been worse! Good thing I was able to come back to life after 30 minutes. xD hontou ni gomen ne, Shinri! And thanks for taking care of almost everything!!! Banzai~ Shinri! xD

Then.. came July. No prod support issues to take care of except for a few text changes to be merged with ezpdb, but they were already taken care of by ezpdb testers. Sachiko was here on the week of the deploy, and they were just working most of the time! We had time for lunch on Monday at Cabalen, with everything reimbursed by the company xD and Sachiko was very happy with the ensaladang mangga! She was not picky at all, she would try everything! She was also taking pictures of the food. And oh right, Tokyo testers sent us some really nice gifts~ I was like smelling the gifts because it might have brought some Tokyo air.. xD isn't this like the kind of thing a perverted person would do?! Aaaaa iie, watashi wa hentai janai.. @___@

Annnnnd the topic is already diverted from Sachiko! So.. my boss tried to lure us into drinking by Thursday night. Everyone has already gone to their Java training and it was just me, Crystal and Mark left in the office. Sachiko was already invited, and he invited us three to come along. So.. we went, hoping that we could also go home early. But then it started, there was some problem with the deploy and they had to use Sachiko's laptop to work in Subzero. And it was really noisy because of the band, very weird place to work. Then when it kinda went out of hand, they had to go back to the office to work seriously, leaving us three in the bar with some money to pay for the food and drinks. They even had to pull the others from training! But my boss asked us to wait for them to finish and to not go anywhere.... ooookaaay... Then it was already past 9pm, he suddenly called my phone -- and I think I misunderstood him. I thought we were just going to wait awhile for P-chan to pick us up at Subzero and he will drop us off to SM.... So we paid for the bill, went out of Subzero and said goodbye to Crystal. We waited and waited until we thought that we can still go home by ourselves and it must be troublesome for P-chan to drop us off somewhere far. Plus, he's not a driver, you know.. xD But then again, Sachiko forgot her new shoes at Subzero so we had to bring it back to her at the office.. and when we arrived there, my boss was asking "why did you leave there?" Good thing I was in the toilet, so unfortunately for Mark, he had to answer the question by himself. He just said that someone called me and we had to go home. Pretty vague for an answer, though we didn't expect the question. Then, that was the time when we realized that... our boss must have meant that we wait for them to finish working, and it's okay if we come home late since P-chan will be dropping us off to SM. Okay, we're screwed.. especially when he seems to be desperate to drink.

Anywaaay, Friday came and the whole team finally got the chance to drink! We all went to tavern, with the bosses' girlfriends and some more bosses - which ensures that the whole thing will be reimbursed again.. xD and it was really fun~ except that Mark really wants to go home early and he had to finish 3 different beers in less than 2 hours. And they weren't just SML. Me... I stupidly went again for margarita, which I didn't finish at all because finally, I got to taste the correct mix and it was something I couldn't handle much that night. So, 1 hour has passed and I have only drank half of it. I ordered a fruit juice so that I can finish the margarita little by little. It was really fun to hang out with everyone~ but too bad, I cannot talk much to Sachiko since she was seated a bit far from us... and I didn't know quite what to say. I can only talk too much on jabber, but I'm still so damn quiet in person. xD Really, why am I so damn shy?! xD

Then Saturday.. we were supposed to go to Tagaytay. But something came up with Mark, so we cannot leave as early as 7AM. In the end, only the bosses and Sachiko were able to leave that early. Mark and I caught up after lunch.. it was a looong trip there.. maybe about 2 hours? We only rode the bus and followed the directions on the map I got from Google. We came from Cavite and ended up on the other side of Cavite. Within 2 hours. So.. we waited in rotonda, the bosses came to pick us up. We went for some lunch, and Sachiko ordered the ensaladang mangga again~ xD and she was drinking beer that early! Mark and I tried the binagoongang rice and it was gooood~! The others also tried to catch up with us, Herson and Jaymee were calling me. Finally, we passed by them on our way to People's Park. Did just a bit of sightseeing and souvenir-buying up there. The air was reaaaally cool and it was really up high.. xD Then we proceeded to Picnic Grove and we did the zipline. I did it twice~ first was with Sachiko, and second with Mark. Our boss did it alone and we took a picture of him. I call it "The Flying Ashvin".. xD Sorry I don't have much pictures~ it was really high and I was always thinking I might drop my camera phone.. @__@ Going home, we took the Sta. Rosa route, and we ended up in Alabang. P-chan offered to drop us off to SM, after he went for some groceries first.

..While Mark and I went to withdraw all of our savings to pay for the car... Oh yeah, Mark is buying our oldest car.. xD and he was going to pay it in installments.... thanks to my mom for allowing this kind of aggreement~!

Anyway... today is supposed to be our first time to bring the car to the office so..... I have to get the car out of the garage first... Hopefully, it will still be in one piece when it gets out. xD good luck to me!!!

So here is the 1 and a half month's worth of stories. It's been a really long post and now I have to sign off. Ja ne~~~

Perseverance

This morning, I started a routine... I have decided that during Saturdays and Sundays, I will be waking up at 5 AM to go jogging... yeah, good luck to me. xD I hope I don't give up before I get some results. My motivation really sucks, you know! But get this.. when I went jogging early this morning, I saw only two people who are doing some exercise - one is an old woman (must be in her 50's) jogging a bit slower, and an old man (maybe 50's or 60's) riding a bicycle going back and forth. And I think it's great that they still have that kind of strength to wake up early and workout as much as they can. And me? I'm only 23 and I cannot even jog every weekends? LOL. Honestly, I'm already starting to feel the workout this morning, my legs are aching a bit.. And one more thing I gotta do is become serious on my diet!! Especially when I'm depressed, I just can't help but eat comfort food... >_<;; So, seriously! I really have to do something about these things.

Then what else did I do today... I played The Sims 2 all day long... That's all. (Gawd, I'm sooo lazy.)

So I will continue being lazy and go to sleep now so that I won't feel sleepy tomorrow at 5 AM. Ganbarimasu~!!! @___@

This is Yoru~, kakkoi Ikuto's shugo chara! All of his sentences are ended with Nya~! Really really cuuuuute~ all shugo chara are kawaii~~~

Shugo Chara (anime) Official Website

I'm waiting for episode 46 to finish downloading, I can't wait~~~ they are all very kawaii~~
And one more thing, I already downloaded the first episode of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu S2 and can't help but wonder.. I thought S2 is supposed to have a different title? Then I researched more, and found out that this might just be another version of the S1... and will just be broadcasted on a different channel in Japan. Oh well, they're really getting us all wait too much! xD

Random song

At first, this was just a song I've been playing on DJ Max Portable 2... One of my favorites -- favorites meaning the ones I can actually finish without any breaks.. xD Anyway, I never really understood much of the lyrics, I only know that it's a love song, well I think you can already derive that from the title.. lol! Anyway, I looked up the lyrics and realized that I never thought I would relate to this song haha.. xD so here it is:

Stay with me (Extended Version) [3:21]
TECHNO POP
COmposed & Arranged by Ruby Tuesday
Lyrics by LEAH
Sung by LEAH

The story started a year ago
We fell in love, we had our moment
Why did you not let your feelings show
I thout that we had the perfect romance

*
Turn around Don't leave me waiting in the "lost and found" come back for me
Turn around, turn around
No body else can make me feel this way, night and day

You are the love of my life

**
Stay beside me, stay with me forever
You know there's nothing that I wouldn't do
Say you love me, say we'll be together
You know that I love you
Keep believing, dreaming of tomorrow
You know that we can make it all come true
Trust the feeling, deep with in your heart
Don't you ever let it go, then time will show that it was true

The second chapter has just begun
I know you think the story's over
Though you could be with anyone
I cannot be with any other

*Repeat

You are the sun in my sky

**Repeat

Don't let it go, then you will know, that it was true

Random email

Annie sent me the chain mail below.. Although I'm not very fond of chain mails, I like this very particular email (probably because I can relate xD) so I'm gonna post it here!

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.

He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.

He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target.

Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.

As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved!

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his
sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing..

After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes'

But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'

Then she whispered to him, 'Remember the duck?'

So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'

Sally just smiled and said, 'Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help'

She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he
finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.'

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done.... And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.) ..whatever it is...You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing.

He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness;

He not only forgives you, but He forgets.

Just to be clear though, I didn't kill a duck when I was young.. xP

GW @ ONB

Right. I'm spending Golden Week at Orange & Bronze, doing the private void attendSpringAndHibernateTraining() for 3 more days - Monday, Wednesday, Friday.Gawd I'm just so damn grateful that I still have the day off on みどりの日(Green Day)! Yay for me~! Tomorrow I will sleep in until whatever time, then play some video games or watch some anime yay rest daaaayyy!!!

Just gonna give updates on my training -- forced by the remi
nder that there are only 3 days left and I have to be able to do something, I finally got some progress this afternoon. Looking at countless examples from the web and my classmates, ebooks and forum posts, I finally got something that works!!! But I guess it's too early to rejoice because I still have a lot of instructions to follow and more technical concepts to implement... So good luck to me~

And what else... last Saturday I stayed at home all day, went out for a couple of hours with Mark to buy some DVDs (didn't get any for myself because I was saving my money).. the rest of my 22 hours I spent playing Luna Online and watching TV and anime... That was one short Saturday, I could have spent more hours and days doing just that... so laaaazzzyyyyyyy......

Sunday, went to the mall with my mom during the day and had to run to ATC to meet up with Mark and his cousin Erika and her husband. That couple were like going out for 10 years already? (I forgot how many years exactly...) and I'm not really sure if that's really when you can say that "Yes, I will marry this guy." I don't know... I still don't feel I can believe in that sort of thing.... but believe me, I WANT TO BELIEVE. xD Maybe someday...... xD but anyway, I had fun! We watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine... That guy from CSI did a great job of portraying Sabretooth! Gambit, in my opinion, i
s a bit off compared to how I've always envisioned Gambit would be like in a film, but still did great! Will.I.Am is also cool but too bad, he died easily... xD anyway, I got home at around 11pm and I was reaaaalllyyyy tired and hungry... So I grabbed something healthy from the pantry and watched CSI: Miami.

And then Monday. Really don't want to talk about it but I think it is worth mentioning that we arrived at the terminal a few minutes before 8am and -- just as I thought -- there are the office people like the zombies in I Am Legend, taking shelter in the shadows and staying away from the sunlight... xD I'm laughing right now but I was really pissed back then... I really wanted a car!! Then we rode to Alabang, Mark ate breakfast there and we searched for a taxi who would be willing to drive us to Makati without charging us too much. We arrived at the training site exactly 10am. Still early in the morning, and we were already very tired...

Aaaanndd tomorrow!!! issss!!! GREEN DAYYYY!!!!! Rest day for meeee!!!! So now I will go to sleep finallyyyyy~ mata ne~! Bai bai!

Javaness~

We have already attended 2 days of Spring & Hibernate training... and we only learned something on the 2nd day because we have a new instructor and this one explains a lot better than the other (sorry but it's the truth)... Maybe it's because this new instructor assumes that I am a novice at Java programming. Great! That's what we really needed. But it doesn't stop me from wanting to attend the Java Boot Camp~ I really want to!! But it's expensive, you know. And I'm not so sure if the company would want to send me and Mark there... and it's extra work as well... Study and work... @___@ Anyway, I think I have to sleep now so that I will be alright tomorrow morning... Training again! I hope it would rain in Makati again tomorrow. I like it a lot better when it rains~~~ instead of the vapor heat and the long lines at MRT ewwwwwww @___@

Still lots of work to do in the office. You know, after you attend a training in a far away unfamiliar land where you have no idea whatsoever about what they were talking about (if only they'd speak in English - as Mark said), you will really really appreciate how it feels to sit on your own desk, type away on your computer and accomplish your long list of production support tasks. WOW. It felt really great during that night, I was on my way home and Shinri told me that I need to send some transactions before 12MN. I was really feeling great after a really long day of scratching my head while listening to the incomprehensible conversations of the certified. Gawd, I hope I can survive (and wishful thinking, pass?) this training. It's only sir Ashvin who motivated me to do my best, Mark and I were really very much ready to give up right after the first day. But then again, it's really shameful to give up just after the first day right?

Anyway, I'm going to sleep, need to get some rest before another long day of futile attempts at comprehension. Mata ne~!

Lazzzzyyyyy

I've been getting lazy at home since yesterday... Seems like deploy was successful this time, because I didn't see any new PMBU tickets! XD

I haven't been doing anything productive or useful, just watching some series... Oh shame on me again... I am so damn lazy! I was trying to distribute my eating time within the day -- I didn't eat regular breakfast, lunch and dinner... I just had some snacks every now and then. 9pm, I tried to do some workout. 10pm, I started feeling bad, then I just realized I haven't eaten dinner yet. So I just ate a slice of choccy cake and a glass of milk.

I'm not studying anything. I'm not even bothering to customize this blog (as I have promised in the past). Gosh I'm so lazzzyyyy!! I haven't been out of the house... I didn't even get Mark's PSP from his house. Mark is in Bulacan right now so I really don't have much reason to go out... I don't think malls are open today... are they? So what I really want to do is some workout or go jogging... but I'm too lazy!!! Especially when there are tons of series and anime I can watch... And if there wasn't, then I'll just end up repeating the old anime over and over again. Or I might just start playing Sims again.

I'm just trying to think that, hey I've been working hard lately and I think it's okay to be lazy now. But there are so many things I want to do, and I'm just sitting around being lazy! =___= I hope this vacation won't end with a blog post from me saying that I really didn't do anything productive this vacation... =___=

Now I'm hungry... I wanna watch some more...... @____@

Saturday~

Mark and I skipped our last driving lessons today... anyway, driving school said we can already get our driver's licenses... we are too lazy to attend lessons now.. XD need to rest during weekends -- been working all week long you know! XD

So we stayed a little longer today at home and watched more Hagane no Renkinjutsushi episodes... we almost finished it if we weren't planning to do something today, we would have stayed and watched until the end. XD One of the coolest anime we've ever seen... especially now that we we're very disappointed at Kidou Senshi Gundam 00's ending! T___T it would've been much better... For me, it was like Shakugan no Shana all over again. All the while, the earlier episodes were like very easygoing and the story is going really slow, and then when it came to the last episode, everything seems crammed. But hey, I will never forget the warmth and strength which the Season 1 has given us during our hell weeks of thesis. Thanks Sunrise! XD

Enough with the otaku talk and let's move on.. XD Mark and I went to the parlor! I had a hair spa (which probably won't last until tomorrow hahaha) and Mark had his hair straight! Aaaa I forgot to take his picture! Will post a picture here soon... XD

Oh right, yesterday I bought a wireless DSL router... and I'm not sure if it was really worth it. Now I'm using Thinkpad laptop and I cannot use remote desktop T___T cannot connect to my office PC! And when I try to use our desktop PC to remote desktop, it works! So there must be something wrong with the internet connection the laptop is receiving. T____T So most probably, the wireless router will be useless on April 7. T____T But in fairness, I get to download mp3s directly to my N95 now! Hmm.. not really what I need but well... do I have any choice?

Wish I have Unix machine, so I can try ssh and rdesktop instead of having only Windows remote desktop. Maybe it is Windows problem after all? Hahaha.. Or I'm just really clueless about network and wifi or whatever... @___@

I wish I could move to Tokyo~~~! XD (of course with Mark XD)

Ja ne~

chocccyyyyy =_____=

Once upon a time, my boss just came back from Tokyo and sent an email to everyone:
Snacks from Japan at the usual place. Help yourselves.

(Of course that wasn't the exact content of the email, but who cares...)
I didn't know the name of the snack but... it was one of the best snacks I've ever eaten in my whole life... It is small, round, soft, chocolate flavor and has a thin coating of confectioner's sugar... It's a lot better than marshmallow~~~ <3>

More screenshots...

I've just finished watching ラブ★コン for the nth time - I already lost count for how many times I have watched this anime... There was even a time when I've been listening to the audio while working in the office just to have a bit of a laugh... I think I've memorized the lines... @__@

This anime has absolutely horrible drawing. Well, sometimes it gets better, sometimes it just gets worse. This is no damn match for anime like Clannad, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu in terms of drawing. But the story catches my attention, it's kinda realistic but of course it doesn't lose a happy ending. The jokes are pretty corny but I really like it though. This is the first time I have ever watched an anime with such horrible drawing. It's actually a surprise that I've got until the ending. It was only the first episode and I was already thinking of dropping it. But it kinda aroused my curiosity as how it will end. This anime has made me laugh and cry so hard, sometimes I just had to lock the door of my room just to keep anyone from seeing that I'm crying because of cartoons (that's how some people call it here)... XD

Anyway, I don't know what's got into me but I just wanted to share some screenshots again. :D Soon I know I would be posting Gundam 00 screenshots as well... Sorry, I know I'm an otaku but oh well... who cares? XD

When Otani passed the university entrance exam.
Risa talking to Nobu-chan on the phone.
(I just liked this rain scene... XD)
Nakao-chi, Nobu-chan and Otani came to Ikebe.
Chiharu-chan, Suzuki-kun, Otani and Risa
Risa ≠ moderu
Risa and Otani
Aaaaa tomorrow is work day again... Shinri-chan is lucky to be on vacation! I hope she's happy with her family now! And I will definitely take a vacation after the April 7th deploy... @__@

Btw, we didn't attend our driving lessons yesterday because Mark was sick. I hope he's feeling better today... :(

Me, I'm hungry. It's dinner time and... I just finished doing a bit of working out. I almost skipped another weekend workout - SHAME ON ME. I have too little motivation... I really wanted to workout with a friend or something so that it would be a bit fun to do something very troublesome and tiring... XD

Anyway, I think I'll just go to bed early today... I'll just eat dinner then off to sleep so that I won't be sleepy tomorrow at work. Mata ne~!

This is Shima-chan from Clannad After Story... I just can't resist the urge to take screenshots and post them here! Isn't he cuuuute? Mimiiiiiiing~!
